April Update

It's hard to believe, but we are less than 50 days from arrival date.  Pretty crazy!  Cate is doing well, although her hands have been hurting quite a bit due to pregnancy-induced carpal tunnel syndrome.  Not fun, but she is a tremendous trooper.  Besides that, her latest rounds of tests and labs all came back great, including her final glucose test.  That means that her current love affair with watermelon can continue, so that investment I made in the watermelon industry will start paying off for sure!

Cate was very blessed to have an amazing shower thrown for her in Pennsylvania by Emily and Mom.  It was quite beautiful and Cate had a ton of fun.  Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate and make us feel so incredibly loved!  We really do appreciate all of the support that we have gotten throughout this process.  We love you all!

We took a trip to Babies R Us recently armed with gift cards and coupons and picked up a few of the things that we needed to feel like we would be ready if Tenny were to suddenly show up unexpected, Cousin Eddie-style.  This was prompted by a very incredible experience while we were in PA visiting with my friend and his wonderful pregnant wife.  Long story short, she went into labor 30 minutes after we got there!  So, we decided that it was time to wrap a few things up like getting some diapers, wipes, and bottles, ya know, just in case :)

Finally, we have been working to finish the nursery and we feel that we are finally there.  While we are still waiting on my wonderful artistic sister to help trim a few mattes for the pictures on the wall, we felt like the final piece of the puzzle came in the mail today.  We had seen a quilt on Etsy that we loved, but it was just a lap quilt and we wanted something a little bigger.  So we messaged the artist and she agreed to make a similar quilt, just a bit bigger.  It is beautiful, and we decided to base all of the color schemes in the nursery on this fabulous work of art.  Thank you to madebyteressa for creating this amazing piece!  Enjoy the pictures below and let us know what you think!
